Operation Tidal Wave From now until the Federal Election on 24th of November 2007 the Fatherhood Foundation is working with a number of men’s groups, fatherhood groups, Family Law Reform groups, Christian groups, family charities and anyone else who will work with the Fatherhood Foundation to promote issues of concern to men as fathers and men who love their families.  Operation Tidal Wave is simply a call to the men and fathers of Australia to rise up and speak with one voice and say ‘enough is enough’. We are tired of being ignored, we are tired of small elite pressure groups running the country. We want positive and practical change for men as fathers and families in Australia. We don’t want any more talk, we want action. Our Strategy  The Fatherhood Foundation is working with the Lone Fathers Association to form a National Fatherhood Coalition to facilitate a united voice by the fathers’ groups and the men of Australia.  The National Fatherhood Coalition is a coalition of like minded but diverse groups who are working together to turn the tide of fatherlessness in Australia and to strengthen and support fathers for the sake of the greater good of all Australians, men, women and children. The National Fatherhood Coalition is not politically aligned but is determined to educate the general public on those parties and candidates that make a stand for family-friendly and father-friendly policy.  The National Fatherhood Coalition is led by Warwick Marsh from the Fatherhood Foundation with assistance from Barry Williams from the Lone Fathers Association and a small team of committed individuals representing other father-friendly organisations.  Our Goal To put issues facing men as fathers and other associated family issues at the top of the political agenda.  We want to see The 12pt Plan implemented in full, along with the strategic policy decisions that came out of the national Strategic Conference on Fatherhood, held in August 2003.  To help initiate the above reforms and address the ‘fatherhood crisis’ we urgently call for a National Fatherhood Summit.
